Second visit to Jacques’ Table, my Mum’s 80th Birthday... and again like the last, perfect. Attention to detail, unobtrusive service, food that is sublime in a wonderfully welcome intimate venue. As there was 12 of us, we had the evening and the venue to ourselves, laughing & joking without fear of upsetting other diners. Love this place, love the food, love the freedom of having a family dinner… with just the family!! Linda, Ayrshire

10\10 for dining at Jacques’ Table! The food was amazing as was the company. As if a 5 course Christmas feast wasn’t enough to prepare, Jacques had a surprise beetroot and orange sorbet which was tasty and refreshed the palate, the Dover Sole was simply stunning along with Capon for main which was so moist, the Christmas Pudding ice cream was fabulous. Triumph for the chef! Sylvia has hostess and front of house down to a fine art, her attention to detail is exemplary. Overall lovely predinner drinks along with a lovely ambience with excellent service and amazing food. Great experience! Had a lovely time! Highly recommend! Alex, Ayrshire

Dear Jacques & Sylvia,

Thank you very much for hosting my lovely birthday party. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel welcome & relaxed.
The feast you prepared for us was quite exquisite. We were very impressed with the attention to detail & appreciate the amount of time & effort that had gone into everything, including my delicious cake.
The evening was a resounding success, truly a night to remember! We look forward to dining in your lovely home in the future.

Dear Jacques & Sylvia

A note to thank you both for giving us such a warm welcome and memorable evening in your stylish, comfortable home.  Sylvia – you looked after us all so well ensuring subtle, smooth operations all evening.  Jacques – your food is just superb, from the delicious, imaginative canapés, right through to the wonderful selection of petit fours.  A well balanced menu – everything beautifully presented – first class ingredients cooked to perfection – a great treat.
It is clear that you are both passionate about ensuring guests, lucky enough to find you, are uplifted by the special unique experience you provide.  With kind regards, Beryl & Tony, Isle of Bute

10/10! As good as any Michelin star restaurant but without the stuffiness! Had an excellent night – food, ambience, hosting were all outstanding. Looking forward to our next visit!  Alison Kerr, Ayrshire

Dear Sylvia & Jacques

The hors d’oeuvres were tantalising, the mise en bouche exotic, the starter splendid and the main course delicious but the real punishment was the dessert! Why oh why would you leave the sublime best for last??? A chocolate soufflé of such divinity it made one weep. And not just that, ginger ice cream with an aroma to die for. How, after such a feast, were we supposed to fit it in? Cruelty, that’s what I call it. French cruelty. And no, it didn’t end there: truffles. Truffles so rich and enchanting they made you want to move in. The fiend, Yorkshire March 2015

Hi Sylvia and Jacques
Just wanted to say thank you for a lovely meal last night. The food as ever was delicious and to be honest, I enjoyed it much more than I did at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurant with his three Michelin stars – I’m being serious ! ! Look forward to booking for later on in the year.  Thanks again, Elaine, Saltcoats
