French born and classically trained chef, Jacques Troquet has many years’ experience working in some of the best hotels in Paris; Executive Chef at the French Embassy, London, as well as with other high profile clients. Now semi-retired with a lasting passion for creating wonderful food, Jacques, together with his partner Sylvia, have opened a ‘hidden’ restaurant from their home in Ayrshire. Home is an ‘old’ converted school in Sinclairston.
Sylvia, as well as loving her new venture with Jacques, has her own Learning & Development Company, Learn & Change. She has travelled extensively in the UK and Dubai with her work – helping people flourish.
The concept of the ‘hidden’ restaurant has been around for a few years now although only about 100 exist throughout the UK. Jacques’ Table is certainly a first for Ayrshire and arguably a first in Scotland with such a high profile French Chef. We offer delicious fresh food as well the opportunity to meet new people around our Table.
Jacques’ Table seats 10 people comfortably. You can book for 1 or 2 people or more and have the opportunity to meet and share the Table with others. Alternatively, book the Table outright for your own private group of 10 people. Enjoy the relaxed ambience and warm welcome.
Authentic French food made with love is on offer at this little ‘home’ restaurant. Based on classical French cooking concepts as well as the rural restaurants of France, everything is made from fresh produce and sourced locally where possible. Every mouthful is homemade including the yummy white chocolate ice-cream and chocolate truffles!
Don’t pay over the odds for your favourite wine either. We invite people to bring their own choice of favourite wine(s) at a price of your choosing! We are not licensed to serve alcohol.
